How to activate Call-recording
At Belfabriek, you not only get access to call-recording, but also to an extensive set of extra features. You can activate or deactivate them via your personal dashboard. Call-recording is disabled by default.
If you wish to activate this feature, follow the steps below:
- Your request will then be processed by one of our employees.
- You will automatically see new recordings appear in your personal dashboard.
- How long conversations are kept depends on the retention period you have set.
Belfabriek stores the sound files securely in the cloud, and via your dashboard you have direct access to all recordings in a clear app. The call recording functionality is so versatile that almost any organization can think of a useful application for it.
You will also receive the recorded conversations as a sound file in your e-mail. This way, your phone system functions as a complete call recorder.
When the recording starts, callers will hear a notification.

Yes, if the phone call has been recorded and saved. It is (of course) not possible to record a conversation afterwards.
That depends on the retention period you have set: 1 day, 1 week or 1 month.
Take a new phone number from Belfabriek or transfer your current number to us and we will activate the call recording for you. You can also transfer part of your calls from your current provider to us and we will only record those calls.
According to the Personal Data Protection Act, that is not necessary, as long as you participate in the conversation and make a prior announcement such as “We are recording this conversation for training purposes”.
If this feature is not yet enabled, you can enable it yourself in your app, as well as how long you want to keep the conversations.
Yes, we record both the caller and the called party and display them in 1 audio file. So you hear both parties.
No, there is enough storage space to record a long conversation or to make a podcast, for example if you want to record a conversation to a phone number. Just make sure you get permission beforehand, so you can share the conversation as a podcast on the web for privacy reasons.
No. You don’t need to use any other apps or have a microphone near your phone when you record a conversation.
