With European unity comes, sooner or later, a simplification of international payment traffic. That moment has now arrived: starting February 2014, account numbers in the Netherlands and surrounding EU countries will change to IBAN numbers. This will affect all your transfers and direct debits, including your monthly payments to Belfabriek.

Why This Transition?

IBAN account numbers are much longer than traditional Dutch numbers. They contain 18 characters. This code includes the country, the bank, and the bank’s branch. The IBAN system makes international transfers easier and safer.

What Changes for You

Belfabriek aims to make this transition as smooth and painless as possible. Because we prefer not to wait until the last moment, we are already using the new European system for direct debits and payouts of call minutes to 0900-number owners.

To start, you will find our IBAN number on your Belfabriek invoice instead of the old, familiar bank account number.

If you use direct debit, you will now recognize our debit by our unique Creditor ID and your unique authorization reference. For our existing customers, the authorization reference is the same as the customer number.

What doesn’t change is that both invoicing and payouts will continue to be done on the usual dates each month.

Always Stay Reachable

The accessibility of your service number is essential for your organization. To guarantee this, you must pay on time and not miss any payments. If you are not yet paying via direct debit, now is a good time to set up this arrangement. This way, you avoid missing payments and your number becoming unreachable.
