1. Notify Your Current Provider

To initiate the transfer, you must first notify your current provider. Note: you are not canceling your number, as this risks having your number inadvertently disconnected. Notify them of the transfer in writing, preferably via registered mail. Also, ask your provider how long it will take to transfer your number.

This ensures your provider has maximum certainty that you initiated the cancellation; your letter and signature serve as proof. Ideally, use your organization’s official letterhead and ensure the person who signed the contract with the provider (or someone authorized to sign) signs the letter.

2. Notify Us of Your Transfer
