What is a Demo Number?

A demo number is a temporary telephone number that is used to demonstrate the functionality of a telephone system.

It offers a practical way to explore the possibilities of the system and see how it can improve your business communication. With a demo number, you can connect with customers and experience how smoothly the system works.

Step 1: Choose your number

  • Visit our website: Go to the homepage of Belfabriek.
  • Select a demo number: On the left side of the page, you will find a selection of available demo numbers. Choose the number that best suits your needs based on availability.
  • Fill in your details: In the second field, enter the mobile number on which you want to receive the calls. In the third field, enter your email address.
  • Request your demo number: Click on the button “E-mail a demo number without obligation”.

Step 2: Receive the confirmation emails

After requesting your demo number, you will receive two emails:

  • The first email confirms the activation of your Belfabriek test number and contains useful information about using our dashboard. For example, it explains that you can add profiles to the Call Team dashboard to which calls are forwarded. You can test the availability of colleagues with our test bot and adjust the order of answering by dragging profiles. Important: we do not use an app, but forward directly to your mobile or landline. You will also receive an explanation about our text-to-speech bot for welcome or closing messages.
  • The second email contains your login details for the Belfabriek app.

With your login details, you can access the Belfabriek dashboard and discover the many features we offer.

Step 3: Test, check and configure your phone number

The fun can begin! Now it’s time to experience the functionalities of Belfabriek for yourself:

  • Log in to the dashboard: Use the login details from the email to log in to the Belfabriek dashboard. There you will see the demo number you requested in the top right, and below that a list of numbers (your own mobile) number, a test bot (extension 2) and other extensions.
  • Test the number: Test your demo number directly by calling the number. Does your mobile phone (to which the number is forwarded) ring? Then it works!
  • Explore the features: Now discover the various features (top right of your screen under settings), such as configuring welcome messages with our text-to-speech assistant, indicating your opening hours, whether or not to receive call statistics by mail and much more. You can easily switch all these functions on or off. Experiment with the settings and configure your phone number as desired!

Profiles and call forwarding

Incoming calls are offered in order of available persons. In your dashboard you can:

  • Set a profile to available or unavailable to receive calls by clicking on the button on the right and setting it to green (available).
  • You can drag a profile to the desired position by grabbing the two vertical lines on the left and dragging it to the desired position. This way you can adjust the order of answering.
  • You can drag a PNG file to the profile photos to personalize them.
