The Social Support Act (Wmo) is a Dutch law that requires municipalities to provide care and support to residents who need help to continue living independently at home. This can range from household help and daytime activities to home modifications and guidance. The goal of the Wmo is to promote the self-reliance and participation of people with disabilities, chronic psychological, or psychosocial problems. Municipalities are responsible for implementing the Wmo and providing customized solutions that meet the needs of the residents.
