Activate a Postcode Routing
With Postcode Routing, calls are distributed based on — as the name suggests — the caller’s postcode.
If you have set up Postcode Routing on your service number, the caller first hears a message asking them to enter the first four digits of their postcode. Based on the entered digits, we then route the call to your nearest branch or employee.
When to Use Postcode Routing
Postcode Routing is ideal when you have multiple branches within one city or region and want callers to always be automatically connected to their nearest branch.
A good example is a pizza chain with multiple branches within one city. With one number, the entire chain is perfectly reachable, and by using Postcode Routing, callers always order their pizza from the nearest branch.
If you have branches in different regions, Area Code Routing might be a good solution for you.
Difference from Area Code Routing
The difference with the Area Code Routing feature is that with Area Code Routing, the forwarding happens entirely automatically based on the caller’s area code.
Activate Postcode Routing
As a Belfabriek customer, enabling Postcode Routing is extremely simple.
You can do this online via our My Belfabriek dashboard or via the Belfabriek app for iOS and Android.
On the Number Settings page, scroll down until you see the Postcode Routing option. You can easily enable or disable this option with the on/off switch.

One of our staff members will contact you to review the routing with you. You can also fill out this Excel sheet yourself, indicating which postcodes should be forwarded to which phone numbers. You do this once and then don’t have to worry about it anymore.
The caller is then automatically forwarded to the correct branch or employee.
