A service number, whether it’s an 0800, 0900, 088, 085, or even a ‘regular’ local phone number, is essentially a virtual number. This means that incoming calls first arrive on our platform.

Once on our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, we can add various useful extra features to these calls before forwarding them to one of your existing phone numbers.

One of these extra features is that we can determine for each call which branch, department, or employee within your organization the specific call should be forwarded to. In fact, we can even check whether to try reaching the same employee on a landline or mobile number.

This phone number we forward to is also called the destination number.

One of the most used features on our platform is the ability to change these destinations in real-time.

Change Destinations with the App

By far the easiest way to change destinations is using our Belfabriek app for your mobile phone or tablet.

Within this app, you can directly manage destinations or do so using an address book. In this address book, you can store frequently used destinations. This way, you don’t have to enter these phone numbers every time but can select the correct destination from the list with a single swipe.

New destinations you set this way are immediately active.

Change Destinations with the IVR

You can also use our IVR to change your destinations.

To do this, first log in to the online My Belfabriek dashboard and go to Number Settings> Destinations.

On this page, you will find a list of all destinations for all your service numbers. For each of these destinations, you will find an Employee ID code and a PIN code.

Using these two unique identification codes, call our IVR system at 0900-67372867 (0900-OPERATOR).

The voice computer will ask you to enter these two codes and then ask you to enter the new destination number.

Follow the instructions of the voice computer to confirm the change. Your change is immediately active.
