We Are a National Organization With Multiple Branches, Can You Distribute the Call Traffic?
To keep communication with customers and callers simple, many organizations with multiple branches use a single service number. With an 0800, 0900, 088, or 085 number, you can easily determine which branch or employee incoming calls are forwarded to.
This forwarding can be based on data from the call. Belfabriek offers two handy features that allow you, as the number owner, to easily route all incoming calls to the nearest branch of your organization.
Routing Based on Area Code
Do you have branches in different parts of the country? Then routing based on the caller’s area code might be the ideal solution.
Our system compares the caller’s area code with an area code table provided by you. Based on this table, it determines which branch or employee the incoming call should be forwarded to.
This happens completely automatically, and the caller does not notice anything.
Routing Based on Postal Code
Do you have multiple branches within one area code region? Then postal code routing is the solution. Callers are asked to enter the first four digits of their postal code. These digits are compared with a postal code table provided by you to determine which branch or employee the incoming call should be forwarded to.
Can Be Combined
For example, if you have three branches across the country and two more within one area code region (let’s say The Hague), you can always combine both routing methods. In this case, callers from The Hague are routed based on their postal code, while callers from the rest of the country are routed based on their area code.
Easy to Set Up
Setting up postal code or area code routing is easier than you might think. We provide you with a ready-made table containing all postal codes and area codes in the Netherlands. All you need to do is indicate where they should be forwarded.
How to do this is explained in this article. There, you can also download the Excel sheet you need to set it up.
