After your new service number has been assigned by the Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM), it takes another 5 business days before your number becomes “dialable.”

This means it takes 5 business days before callers from across the country, regardless of their telecom provider, can call your number.

Why Does It Take So Long?

To make your number reachable, all Dutch telecom operators, such as KPN, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Telfort, and others, must include your number in their so-called routing table. This is a table that specifies exactly how your phone number can be reached—in your case, via Belfabriek.

This is a process that takes a maximum of 5 business days. Because we want to ensure that your new phone number is actually reachable for all your callers, we adhere to this 5-business-day period.
